Programme Overview

AHDA's Research and Innovation Programme focuses on generating high-quality data and practical evidence to strengthen advocacy, accountability, and community-led action. The programme prioritizes implementation science to understand what works, for whom, and under which community conditions, so interventions can be continuously improved and scaled responsibly. It connects field realities with policy dialogue by producing actionable insights for government, partners, and local stakeholders.

Mtama Case Study

A recent case study from Mtama,Lindi highlights the role of women and youth in climate and health response. The study documents how women and young people contribute to community awareness, local mobilization, and frontline resilience efforts, while also identifying barriers to their full participation. The findings are being used to inform AHDA's advocacy messaging, programme refinement, and partner engagement, with a clear emphasis on inclusive decision-making and community ownership of solutions.
