Her Impact Gala: Celebrating Young Women and Girls Empowering Communities

LOCATION

Regions of Tanzania

TIMEFRAME

2025 - Present

Her Impact Gala is an annual celebration held during the week of International Women’s Day (IWD) to recognize and honor young girls who are driving positive change in their local communities. The event shines a light on their stories of impact, leadership, and resilience, connecting them with trailblazing women leaders and other successful figures from various fields of leadership.

Beyond celebration, the gala serves as a launchpad, linking girls to mentorship, training opportunities, technical guidance, and potential financial support to help sustain and scale their initiatives in health, education, and development. By fostering visibility, leadership, and support, Her Impact Gala is building a generation of empowered girls who are shaping a healthier, more inclusive future, one community at a time.

The first-ever Her Impact Gala in 2025 marked a powerful milestone in advancing gender equity and youth leadership. The event brought together inspiring young girls and influential mentors for an evening of storytelling, connection, and celebration. With special guests from AMREF, the Women Fund, leading universities, and private sector organizations, the gala showcased the strength of cross-sector collaboration in creating inclusive spaces for young women to thrive. Attendees engaged in shared meals, impactful conversations, interactive games, and vibrant networking,  all designed to build confidence, foster leadership, and strengthen intergenerational mentorship.

Honoring Excellence: Award Recognitions
