PROJECT

Webinar Series on Climate and Health

LOCATION

Tanzania

TIMEFRAME

2025 - Present

In response to the escalating health threats posed by climate change including heatwaves, vector-borne diseases, food insecurity, and mental health challenges, we launched a youth-focused webinar series in 2024 to explore the critical intersection of climate and health. By 2025, the series had expanded globally through strategic partnerships with the Commonwealth Youth Climate Network (CYCN), the Commonwealth Youth Health Network (CYHN) and EANNASO.

Held monthly under the theme The Youth Position in Shaping Policy and Advocacy for Climate Change and Health in the Commonwealth,” the series continues to amplify youth voices, foster regional and global collaboration, and catalyze policy dialogue.

The primary objective is to build the capacity of young people across Africa and the wider Commonwealth to understand climate policies and the health impacts of climate change. By equipping youth with knowledge, tools, and advocacy platforms, the series empowers a new generation of informed, action-oriented leaders to co-create solutions to the climate-health crisis.

Insights from the discussions will be consolidated into a youth-led policy brief to inform future advocacy, policy development, and decision-making processes at national, regional, and global levels.

Summaries from each webinar are shared with our subscribers through our newsletter and email updates, offering key insights, highlights, and actionable takeaways. To stay engaged and never miss an update, we invite you to subscribe for access to upcoming webinar links, past recordings, and related resources.
