About AHDA

Building Health, Resilient, and developed communities.

AHDA is an NGO established with a clear purpose: to build healthy, developed and resilient communities by harnessing local solutions, youth leadership and strategic partnerships.

AHDA Team

Promoting Health and Development in Africa

Amplify Health and Development in Africa (AHDA) is an NGO based in Tanzania, established and registered in 2023 by young professionals from various fields, including medicine, health sciences, development, research, communications, diplomacy, and leadership. We harness youthful potential to create healthy, developed, and resilient communities in Tanzania and across Africa.

AHDA aims to create a future where storytelling, advocacy, community action, and innovative digital solutions ignite transformative change, allowing young voices to lead in shaping policies and strengthening health systems for a healthier, sustainable world.

Our Vision & Mission

Our Vision

To build healthy, developed, and resilient communities in Africa.

Our Mission

To enhance community development by improving the quality of health services and building sustainable development initiatives in Tanzania and across Africa.

Our Core Values

Equity

We prioritize vulnerable populations and work to reduce disparities in health, climate resilience, and development opportunities.

Accountability

We uphold transparency, responsible stewardship of resources, and measurable results in all our work.

Community Leadership

We believe communities are not beneficiaries — they are partners and leaders in shaping their own futures.

Innovation & Collaboration

We embrace data, storytelling, technology, and partnerships to design scalable and sustainable solutions.

Our Work

Three integrated pillars driving our mission

01

Climate & Health

Strengthening community understanding of climate-related health risks while promoting preventive action and local resilience.

02

Community Engagement

Mobilizing youth, religious institutions, schools, and local leaders to drive awareness, behavior change, and grassroots action.

03

Health Systems Strengthening

Supporting primary healthcare facilities, community health workers (CHWs), and local systems with tools, training, and technical support.

How We Work

Our approach combines evidence, storytelling, and grassroots engagement

Data-Driven Advocacy

We use community data, research insights, and field experience to influence policy discussions and shape responsive programming.

Strategic Storytelling

Through culturally relevant materials and stories including youth-friendly and community-led educational tools, we translate complex climate, health and development issues into accessible actions.

Strategic Communication

AHDA uses strategic communications to translate complex climate and public health risks into clear, actionable messages. We apply data-driven engagement and community-centered outreach to strengthen awareness, trust, and local action.

Community Action

We mobilize schools, religious institutions, youth groups, community health workers and households to strengthen local resilience from the ground up.
